Here are a few questions to ask at the Hospital you plan to delivery.
1. Does your Doctor have privileges there?
2. Does your Insurance cover you there?
3. Are you able to take a Hospital Tour?
4. Does the Hospital have a Laborist Program/Doctor who is always on Labor and Delivery and on-call?
5. Does the Hospital have Birthing Balls available for patients to use?
6. Does the Hospital have LDR (Labor, Delivery, and Recovery) Rooms or LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum) Rooms?
7. Does the Hospital have a Nursery for well babies? Or does the baby room-in with the parents?
8. How many visitors are allowed to visit? Can children visit? How many can spend the night?
9. What are visiting hours?
10. Does the Hospital have a Lactation Consultant available to help with Breastfeeding?
